UCLA

Well we made it to Cali today, and met with the surgeon. First we met with one of the nurse assistants. Then we met with the surgeons assistant, or secretary. Then we met with the surgeon. Everyone was so nice. The hospital is huge, just like LA. But we are very impressed with the surgeon. We feel like he is very knowledgable and wants to do what's best for Ashton. He feels like he will be able to do the surgery and it will be successful. He talked with us in detail of what he will do during the surgery, and thats what we like. He was very cute with ashton also. After talking with us and we went out he gave Ashton a high five. Anyway, we feel good about the surgeon. Now to get a date. The surgeon is going on vacation the first of April and he doesn't want to do the surgery and then not be around. So we will schedule for sometime after he is back. They hope to let us know a date tomorrow.

So after visiting the hospital we decided we better have some fun. Especially after having been in the car for so long. Our cousin Drew was able to come with us. Its made it a lot more fun for Ashton. So we got something to eat, finally, and then went to the beach. Even though it was getting dark and raining. First we walked out on the pier. Then we let them play some arcade gsmes. Then of course we had to go down to the ocean to touch the water. And thats just what Ashton did. A wave was coming in and he couldn't get away quick enough so the water go him. It was so funny and he was a good sport about having wet shoes and it was cold.

Now we are relaxing in the hotel while the kids are exploring, and getting hot chocolate. Ashtons favorite thing to do when we stay in a hotel.
